Poly(methyl methacrylate),
developed in the early 1900’s is a lightweight transparent thermoplastic. It is a low cost, easy handling
material that is often used as an alternative to glass. An acrylic, Poly(methyl methacrylate)
is also known as Perspex and Lucite.
It has the potential to be
engraved – both through laser and manual engraving.
